Position: Operations Manager for Cultural Center

Location: Vuollerim, Jokkmokk Municipality, Sweden

About the Role:

We are seeking an Operations Manager for our cultural center in Vuollerim. This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations of the center, managing staff, planning cultural events, organizing artist residencies, and ensuring the smooth running of all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and lead a team of employees, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

- Plan and coordinate cultural events, ensuring a diverse and engaging calendar.

- Organize artist residencies, facilitating the needs of visiting artists.

- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient management of resources.

- Collaborate with various departments and external partners to enhance the center's offerings.

- Have a primary responsibility for developing documentation for and writing applications to cultural organisations, foundations and the public sector.

- Coordinate network meetings and maintain and document regular contact with a strategic network.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a cultural or artistic setting.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.

- Experience in event planning and coordination.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Sami competence from within is meritorious.
