Artists for Arctic Cabaret
We are looking for professional artists for Love Affairs – an Arctic dinner performance where dance is the underlying language and where food deepens the artistic experience.
The performance is built as a coherent dramaturgical arc in six emotional movements – from attraction and addiction to rupture and awakening. We are looking for strong, bodily works in dance, circus, physical theatre and music that can be part of this structure.
You are especially welcome to apply if you have multiple acts or work across multiple art forms.
This is an artist-driven project.
We are looking for works with precision, presence and intensity.
Send a short description, possible video link and technical needs.

LOVE AFFAIRS – Arctic Dinner Performance
We are inviting professional artists to submit work for Love Affairs — an Arctic performance where contemporary dance is the primary language and where food serves the art, not the other way around.
This is not a restaurant concept with entertainment attached.
It is a professionally curated artistic production in which a six-course dinner is integrated into the dramaturgy to deepen the audience’s sensory and emotional experience.
The project is artist-led.
The food enhances the narrative arc.
The stage language drives the evening.
About the Work
Love Affairs unfolds in six emotional movements aligned with six courses. The structure moves from attraction and merging through dependency, rupture and exposure, and lands in a state of awakening rather than romantic reconciliation.
The performance is built as a cohesive dramaturgical arc. Each act must stand strongly on its own while contributing to a larger emotional structure. Recurring motifs, musical fragments and choreographic patterns weave the evening together.
The Arctic is not a visual theme — it is a structural metaphor. Pressure, fracture, repetition.
We Are Looking For
Contemporary dance works
Circus or physically risk-based performances
Strong physical theatre
Vocal or music-driven acts with embodied presence
Hybrid forms that operate in the space between disciplines
You may submit:
A finished piece (short format)
A work-in-progress
A strong concept that can be developed within the dramaturgical framework
We are particularly interested in works that explore:
Attachment and repetition
Emotional risk
Dependency and power
Collapse and transformation
The seductive pull toward the next intensity
Context
The audience will dine throughout the performance. This requires clarity, presence and a strong spatial awareness. The format is intimate and immersive.
The dinner is composed in dialogue with the artistic structure. It supports the emotional progression but does not dictate it. This is a performance first — a multidisciplinary artistic work shaped by professional curators and artists.
Why Join
Love Affairs is not about illustrating love stories.
It is about exposing the patterns we fall back into.
We are building a work that is visually precise, emotionally sharp and dramaturgically coherent. We are looking for artists who want to contribute to something structured, ambitious and collectively authored.
If you want your work placed inside a larger arc, where your piece becomes part of a psychological journey rather than a standalone showcase, then we want to hear from you.
Submit
Short description of your work
Video documentation (if available)

A few lines on how your piece could sit within the emotional arc
We are looking for artists who are ready to hold intensity — and to work within a strong artistic frame. You are especially welcome if you have multiple acts and also within different art forms.

We welcome applications from:
Professional dancers or advanced emerging dancers with a strong background in contemporary dance.
