Conversation with Stone is a gentle, listening-forward dance performance for children and families. Through movement, feeling and presence, a figure journeys “home” to a Sea Sámi landscape, weaving body, place and heritage.

About the event
Conversation with Stone is a performance about belonging, culture, and a living landscape. The performance tells a personal story about returning to a Sea Sámi culture and to a landscape in Varanger. The figure in the performance, in many ways, dances the road home; a story about how, no matter where she goes, the stones from her home are her shoes. It is the wish to always carry her homeland with her by walking through the landscape. The figure has accepted her heritage within herself, in her surroundings, and she quite literally converses with the stones.
