About the event
Inspired by living animist traditions, where myths are perceived as entire landscapes, Dagaz articulates motifs from Old Norse mythology.Now. We are on the threshold – the seeing eye – looking into what is to come, out of what has been. Dagaz is the dawn, the daybreak, the rift in time when light arrives. The Old Norse rune Dagaz, ᛞ, is associated with light, clairvoyance and insight. Found at the very center of the magical rune is the crack between worlds: the visible and the invisible, the third eye – here activated through the medium of film.
The program starts with a ritual performance. After the screening the artists will talk about the background to the project.
