Humor, seriousness and Sami truths!
The performance "Hïegke lin" is a humorous but profound performing arts experience by and with Marika Renhuvud that examines what Sami dance can be in relation to joik. By joiking and dancing people, memories and peculiarities are brought to life, but we also get to take part in beliefs and prejudices about Sami. The story is based on the many different images that people have of Sami - from exotic misunderstandings to deep, inner feelings of identity and belonging.
