In what words? In other words, is a two-part dance performance created by the Italian multi-disciplinary artist Marco Andrea Piersanti and the Sami Norwegian dancer and choreographer Johannes Kaaby Hellstenius. The work stems from the relationship between the duo and the landscape(s) surrounding Jillat; via means of movement, sound, text and installation, the project addresses the generative potential of recognition and translation as acts of human connection to the Other

Marco’s practice began in Rome, where for five years he studied traditional media and crafts, such as painting and sculpture, wood and metal work; in Rome he then conducted the first part of a bachelor’s degree in archaeology and art history, mainly focusing on ancient and medieval religious art, as well as early modern Italian art, music and literature.
