Motion Capture Workshop

This immersive workshop explores how digital technologies can serve as bridges between body, movement, and memory. Led by Georges-Emmanuel Arnaud — Martinican artist, photographer, and Artistic Director of ANISOTROPIE — the session introduces participants to the creative and conceptual potential of digital twins: virtual doubles of living bodies that can preserve, reinterpret, and share heritage in new ways.
Through the use of Xsens motion capture suits, a dancer and a circus artist will perform live, allowing participants to observe how movement is transformed into digital form. The data becomes a living archive — a digital trace of gesture and presence — inviting reflection on what it means to document the ephemeral.
