About the event
Praejhta is a performance about strength, vulnerability and courage. About different Sami women who all have a drive and a strength that can only be described as primal power, or through dance and yoik.
Through dance, yoik, music, poetry and storytelling, this performance highlights different strong Sami women. What have they been through? What has shaped them into the way they live today? Are there inherited traumas that Sami women pass on without their knowledge? Can we describe the strength that Sami women possess? This performance raises these questions and looks for answers. Above all, we celebrate Sami women and give them a place in history.
