About the event
Resilience through Art is a presentation by Martinique-based multidisciplinary artist Georges-Emmanuel, whose work moves between photography, sculpture, digital creation, heritage preservation and artistic research. On June 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., he will present Martinique and the Caribbean through the lens of resilience: not as a fixed identity, but as a living cultural force shaped by people, memory, territory and transmission.
Georges-Emmanuel is the artistic director of Anisotropie, an association founded in 2019 to explore the relationship between culture, heritage and digital technologies. Its work focuses on preserving and reinventing both material and immaterial heritage through accessible artistic and immersive experiences. His projects include motion capture of traditional gestures, 3D documentation of Caribbean archaeology, digital archives, training initiatives and international artistic residencies.
Through this presentation, Georges-Emmanuel, will highlight how individual, associative and institutional initiatives form a cornerstone of Caribbean cultures. His work connects memory and the present, body…
