About the event
The force of nature Maxida Märak has, over the past decade, been a constantly relevant and multifaceted artist. With her unique blend of music, acting and strong social engagement, she has made an indelible mark on the Swedish cultural scene. Now she is taking a new, unexpected step in her creative journey. In spring 2025, she released the album Lånat, on which she interprets Swedish songs with a personal and modern touch.
The songs are a musical bridge between then and now, where Maxida preserves the soul of the song tradition while infusing it with her own unique sound, in which joik always has a natural place. It is not a rewriting of the old, but a respectful preservation and further development of a timeless tradition.
