Open call Dancer full time position

We are looking for a dedicated dancer who wants to work up in the north of Sweden during 3,5 months between 7th of December and 20th of March. 2-3 performances every week, weekly dance workshops for kids and professional morning classes will be your main work.

Full-time position - 7 December 2026 - 20 March 2027
JILLAT Sami Dance Center, Sweden

We are looking for a professional dancer to join our team for a winter season combining performance, teaching and artistic collaboration. This is an opportunity to become part of a Sami-led dance center where professional artistic practice meets community life, and where dance from Sápmi connects with artists and audiences from around the world.

About JILLAT

JILLAT Sami Dance Center is based in Vuollerim, in the Swedish part of Sápmi. Led by choreographer and Artistic Director Liv Aira and operated by Aira Dance Company AB, the center brings together performances, artistic creation, residencies and learning.

Our work grows from Sami perspectives and a commitment to artistic quality, cultural exchange and meaningful relationships with our surroundings. We believe that ambitious professional dance should be accessible beyond major cities, and that artists should have space to create, share knowledge and develop their practice.

As a Sami-led space, JILLAT offers a home for Sami artistic voices and a meeting place for artists from different backgrounds. Respect for Indigenous cultures, openness to different experiences and care for one another are central to how we work. We value curiosity, shared responsibility and collaboration.

The webpage for the dance company is invisiblepeople.se, where you can find some of our productions.

Strong technical skills and an expressive performance presence, particularly in contemporary dance.
Experience of professional performance and collaborative creation.

A reliable, considerate approach to teamwork and independent responsibility.
An interest in Sami perspectives and a willingness to learn through respectful exchange.
