Svakko Edita Márja Agnes,
Agnes Nilsson Svakko has her roots in Girjas on the Swedish side of Sápmi. Her passion for dance started in the town where she grew up, at Skellefteå Dans & Balettförening. Aftergraduating from high school in 2020 she also worked at Skellefteå Dans & Balettförening and after that she studied one year at Lunnevads Danslinje in Linköping during the schoolyear 21/22. In the fall of 2022 she started her education in dance pedagogy ad Stockholm University of the Arts, with a focus on modern and contemporary dance, where she graduated with her Bachelors degree in June 2025. After her years in southern Sweden she has now returned home to the north to continue working with dance, both artistically and pedagogically.
About the art
Agnes is largely interested in improvisation and scores in her creative work and she gets a lot of inspiration from nature. The two things that are closest to her heart is dance and her Sámi heritage, which often goes to show in her artistry.
Agnes Nilsson Svakko came to the opening through a colaboration with Stockholm University of the arts where she is currently studying.
