About the art

For the festival Skájdde, now in the planning for its fourth year, Liv created a show about a mother being pregnant and feeling lost when it comes to what questions she might need to answer soon as she will have a child. She feels that she needs to know the answers about heritage and culture and she gets help from three goddesses to find her way, always protected by the brass ring.

In a solo inspired by this show, Liv captures the audience with her unique and real performance, causing them to be emotional and every time she performed it people were moved to tears. A true manifestation of someone speaking dance as her first language.

Liv Aira danced a solo version of the summer production Skájdde - Miessikrikkas, with music by Raymond Stokki and text by Josefin Sîlan Karlsson
