Aktitit connects artists and presenters

What performing arts from Sápmi are available to book – and how do artists and presenters find each other? On 13–15 November 2026, Aktitit at JILLAT – Sami Dance Center in Vuollerim, in the Swedish part of Sápmi, creates a place for that connection.

Sámi performing arts are already booked and presented by many different organisations. Yet the distance between an artist and a potential presenter can be considerable. There is no established shared meeting place where presenters can discover the breadth of work available and artists can introduce their work and build connections.

With Aktitit, we want to create that meeting place. Presenters, Sámi affairs coordinators and others who programme cultural activities can discover performances, concerts, workshops and other artistic expressions from Sápmi. Artists can meet the people who can bring their work to new places and audiences.

Discover work for 2027–2028

On 13–14 November, the focus is on work available for presentation in 2027–2028. A catalogue, produced both digitally and in print, will help participants revisit the productions and contact the artists after the event.

Meet the projects taking shape

For those who want to look further ahead, Aktitit continues with an optional morning programme on 15 November. Artists will pitch projects in development that are not yet part of the touring programme for 2027–2028.

This is an opportunity to discover upcoming work, follow its development and explore possibilities for contributing funding or presenting it in the future.

We want to make the breadth of work easier to discover – and create opportunities for more encounters between performing arts from Sápmi and its audiences.
